This project of experienced Chilean musicians moves within the blasphemy of Hellenic Black Metal, straight out from the late 80’s! They sound like if nothing happened afterwards, and the result is a return to those brilliant times of insanity and perversion. We want also to thank YOU for the support and interest in our activities. Without your support the label's activities would make no sense.
2018 is already tomorrow, and to start the year prepare yourself for more releases and more activities. Perpetratör is ready to smash skulls, Balmog/Sartegos will have unleashed a killer split of Galician Black Metal and the first bands for Masmorra Fest will be announced soon.

On December 11th, CAVERNA ABISMAL is proud to present a special split 7" between SARTEGOS and BALMOG. Featuring two of the best black metal forces presently in Galicia, Spain, this split features an exclusive new track from each band.For nearly ten years now, SARTEGOS have been patiently perfecting their craft over the course of two demos, a split album with France's Ysengrin, and the cult mini-album As Fontes Do Negrume, released in 2013. Their contribution here is a simmering and sepulchral slice of cavernous, blackout darkness, subtly casting its spell and entrancing the listener. BALMOG, for their part, are veterans of the underground. Since 2006, they've unleashed a prolific stream of fiery, diabolical dedication, with 2015's Svmma Fide being something of a modern classic. Here, they continue that ascent with a characteristic blast of sulfurous-yet-emotive energy.

Caverna Abismal Records sets July 21st as the international release date for the re-release of POISONOUS' cult debut album, Perdition's Den. Originally released on CD in 2010 and then on vinyl in 2012, Perdition's Den will be reissued on CD format with a completely renewed layout by André Coelho and illustrations by Gustave Doré, and will also come with two bonus tracks taken from the 2014 split LP with Daemonic, Death Apparitions of the Damned Souls.
One of the best death metal albums coming from Brazilian soil in recent years, POISONOUS' Perdition's Den is a barbaric, blood-soaked juggernaut of darkest death metal energy. The quartet's nearly chaotic crush hearkens back to the classic works of countrymen Sarcofago, Vulcano, and very early Sepultura yet equally twists 'n' turns with a subterranean dread not unlike Unaussprechlichen Kulten and Dead Congregation. Not for nothing was this monument immediately hailed upon its original release as a new classic of timeless-meets-modern death metal.

"Resvrrezionespiritval" is the next step in YSENGRIN's "solve et coagula" path, the Albedo step of purification following the Nigredo process. Caverna Abismal Rec. is proud to announce that has signed VILES VITAE to release their debut EP simply entitled IV.
This new entity in the Portuguese Black Metal underground is nothing but the translation of the four basic elemental principles still used in ritual magic. Four elements, four songs. The ritual is all about the experience one could have while listening to IV. A crescendo of feelings and cyclical repetitions to elevate thy souls of the dead straight to the heart of the listener. The forest and the midst were the essential partakers along with the perfect fog. Featuring experienced and known members of the Portuguese scene the band is no beginner at all. All they created is exactly what they wanted to expose: primary spirit of black metal, crafted from the heart. Based in a solid sound quality and concise tempos, the atmosphere and soundscapes come to highlight a purely strong vocal performance. The death is all around, the ritual has just started.

Anachronistic and completely unmitigated by aught save their own selfish desires, Evil Priest arrive from Lima, Peru. The three songs that comprise their self-titled debut call to mind some recording washed up on the shore of the beaches of that pandemonium, Lima. Like the virgin copy of a sound that our dimension has since rendered a palimpsest. An alien artefact studied and transcribed without having first been deciphered. Offering a peek into another dimension where society collapsed in 1989 and jungles have usurped the cities as primitive and ancients fear have reclaimed the preoccupation of humans. A time and place in which death metal is played to ward off predators and bad spirits. Performed as it is, here and now by Evil Priest, the demo would appear to have the opposite effect. Haunted by vocals like hypnotic proclamations of unlocked malign spirits; stormy with drums that hold your pulse hostage; riffs like shadow archetypes that leap out from a deeply ingrained collective death-anxiety. Firstly released by Caligari Records in 2016 in a very limited edition, the Evil Priest demo is going to be available soon in CD format by Caverna Abismal Records.

As the name itself invokes the impure sense of primitivism invades every thought before listening to their aggressive and merciless songs. Cult of Erinyes (Bel) "Transcendence" Tape is finally available!
The ritualistic side of the Cult is the very essence of the band. From the very beginning, the way CULT OF ERINYES writes music enhances the ritual in seek of the trinity, the purest form of the universe. Caverna Abismal Records was the first force to believe in the potential of this band, back in 2010, materializing their first demo “Golgotha” for eternity. Corvus, the main composer and brain of these creations once said “Perfectionism and simultaneous simplicity are exactly what we want to create!” But he also add that “Every song is based on some patterns. The more you listen to the song, the more those patterns will appear and consume you”. Maybe because of this particular atmosphere of their sonority, the band is often called Ritualistic Black Metal. With time their art evolved to more intense and aggressive hymns, melting black energy with maturity that called the attention of Les Acteurs de L’ombre Productions to release their debut full-length in 2011. A very well received album preceded the contract with Code666 Records to unleash what was their second full-length. “Blessed Extinction” was the definite affirmation that CULT OF ERINYES is one of the most interesting active black metal bands in Europe.
This time, Caverna Abismal Records, brings to light some obscure songs written by the time of “Blessed Extinction” that were hidden in shades of introspective negativity. Two new compositions and a Mayhem cover (“Pagan Fears”) mixed and mastered at the Blackout Studio (Enthroned, Lucyfire, Emptiness) set an EP to enjoy in lonely meditation.

IN OBSCURITY REVEALED (MEX) - Spell of the seeker Tape is finally out!
Created in 2014 to pay homage to the occult and
obscure traditions, Mexican triad IN OBSCURITY REVEALED have casted their first
curse upon the masses earlier in 2015. To be re-released in tape format through
Caverna Abismal, “The Spell of the Seeker” is a 4-track death metal ritual in
the vein of the old coffins such as Carnage and Autopsy with the characteristic
touch of South American darkness. Despite the old-school sound of the demo, the
band doesn’t intend to be part of any revivalist movement or drink from the
well of past glories. Instead, IN OBSCURITY REVEALED seeks to be a vehicle for
a message that sometimes through music, is a process of transcendence, emanating
from a source and in this case, an obscure one.

Nigrum Nigrius Nigro – Split Tape + Poster
Lapis philosophorum, commonly known as the philosopher’s stone, was said to contain the primordial
matter of all things. Through the process of transmutation, the
alchemist could transform base metals into pure gold, being Nigredo the
first of four steps to attain the “Great Work”. Conjured between
YSENGRIN and BLACK GRAIL, “Nigrum Nigrius Nigro” will be the first of a
series of four 12" split records, to be released by NUCLEAR WAR NOW!/I, VOIDHANGER, which will represent YSENGRIN’s
collaborative Magnum Opus with co-conspirators SARTEGOS, STARGAZER and
INCONCESSUS LUX LUCIS. To visually enhance this work, Croatian artist
MARKO MAROV was once again summoned to provide his exquisite and
inimitable art. The image depicting Ouroboros symbolizes the cycle of
transformation of the matter and the alchemist’s opus, culminating into
the awakening of consciousness.
The split features four of YSENGRIN’s most sinister tracks recorded to
date, along with a hauntingly dynamic single from BLACK GRAIL, which
suitably follows its well-received debut album from earlier this year.
“Nigrum Nigrius Nigro” will be released in a tape+poster version limited
to 99 through the Portuguese coven CAVERNA ABISMAL.

Formed in Szeged, Hungary in 2009, Tyrant Goatgaldrakona rose from the abyss to to create dark and brooding Death Metal. Consisting only of two members, Hellfire Commander of Eternal War and Pain on drums and vocals & Grave Desecration and Necrosodomy on guitars and bass, the band manages to produce a sound that pummel forth and crush anything in its path.

Caverna Abismal is very proud to announce that the new Veér's album is ready to ship. The album is simply called
“27”, and albeit it's name simplicity it turns into a complex trip in the darkest fields of humanity's philosophy.
The band from Budapest started to dig their grave pits under the moons of 1997, refining their skills and sharpening their blades, after two demos and a split the plague started to widespread… But, after a quite long period of death, the conceptuality reached its climax, the metamorphosis was unavoidable, the contrast was unmistakable and the new born blood came out, and in 2009 Veér has presented to the world thir debut album "The measure of Waste". Mature, solid, grimy, groovy and cynic, the band lined up by Jim Jones (vocals), Pagan and M (guitars), Major (bass) and Knot (drums) started a new cycle to blow up dirtiness, hopeless and disgust upon everything. The debut album is today considered a unique act on the Hungarian scene. Quite original, their Black Metal has nothing to do with forests, mountains, Satanism or Paganism, but instead, they introduce the decadence of human’s nature and the world with it. Listen by yourself!!
Six years later the rotten stench spread widely and
the dominant viper seeks for more blood to consume. Asphyxiation and agony are
expected and long missed. The new album finally took its form and sprouted from
ashes, in dead grey ground.
“27” is just aborted and buried as the second
full-length, released via Caverna Abismal Records and Neverheard Distro.

"In a lucid perspective of the origins of humanity, the caverns and the caves are traces on the animal behavior of humans. In remote times the obscure and dark nature of the deep earth were the lair of procreation and death. They were the nocturnal call of the day, the smell of dead skin on the body, the awakening of the humanity's dirty instinct.
Today, like years ago, the extreme music is a primitive vestige of the musical origins of metal. The wrath and the dark sense from the obscurity is still within us.
It is also the link with what is called the origins of metal. The beautiful dirtiness of grudge and anger, spitted from the immoral principle, is also the novel of the legacy, which still in a rotten and sarcastic world, survives within us.
Going back to the origins it to recognize where we born.
Going back to the origins it to honor the principles and praise the inheritance, which will lead us one day to the old days of darkness.
The label is not going to have classifying musical lettering in a universe of extreme underground music. Is not going to be dedicated to any group, whether religious or political, as will not reduce itself to one genre of musical art. The conceptual principle is the art of music along with the art of primitive darkness, the origins, the instincts.”

"Numa perspectiva lúcida das origens da humanidade, as cavernas e as grutas desempenham um traço do comportamento animal do homem. Em longínquos tempos a natureza obscura e negra das profundezas da terra eram o covil da procriação e da morte. Eram o chamamento nocturno do dia, o cheiro das peles mortas no corpo, o despertar do instinto sujo da humanidade.
Hoje, e à semelhança de anos atrás, a música extrema é um vestígio primitivo da origens musicais do metal. A raiva e o sentimento negro da obscuridade ainda está dentro de nós.
É também o elo de ligação com o que se chama de origens do metal. A sujidade bela do rancor e da raiva, cuspidos do princípio imoral, é também a novela dos legados, que ainda assim, num mundo podre e sarcástico, sobrevive dentro de nós.
Voltar às origens é reconhecer de onde se nasceu.
Voltar às origens é honrar os princípios e louvar a hereditariedade que nos vai conduzir um dia aos velhos dias de obscuridade.
A editora não vai ter rótulos musicais classificativos num universo de música subterrânea extrema. Não vai ser dedicada a nenhum grupo, seja ele religioso ou político, tal como não se reduzirá a um género de arte musical. O princípio conceptual é a arte da música em paralelo com a arte da obscuridade primitiva, das origens, do instinto."
